Wayne is a lifelong resident of Pensacola, Florida, and sits on various boards throughout Escambia County. Before founding TEL, Wayne was an integral part of Instrument Control Service (ICS), a family-owned business started by Wayne’s father, Willard Brown, in 1967. Together, Wayne and Willard grew ICS’s annual sales to over $70 million annually before selling the company to General Electric in 1997. With a background in engineering, risk management, project management, and sales, Wayne founded TEL Staffing & HR in 2000, determined to develop a corporate service that would meet the needs of companies across the nation.
Teri joined the TEL Staffing & HR family in 2011. Teri has a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management from Ashworth College. She has more than a decade of progressive HR experience in employment law, employee relations, training, recruiting, compensation and benefits, and holds a SPHR certification from the Society of Human Resources Management. Teri's memberships include the Greater Pensacola Society for Human Resources, Birmingham Society of Human Resources Management, the Association for Talent Development, and the Society of Human Resources Management. As one of TEL's strategic partners, Teri takes great pride in providing business owners with the HR expertise needed to support successful commerce in an era of rapid corporate change.
Born and raised in the Pensacola area, Nancy graduated from Pensacola Junior College with an Associate Degree in Business Administration, and began her her career at Instrument Control Service, working in various departments including payroll, accounting, and human resources. After the sale of ICS to GE, Nancy was responsible for the successful conversion of all ICS benefit plans to GE benefit plans for more than eight hundred employees. Nancy came to work for TEL in 2007, and serves as the liaison between our clients and partners, as well as TEL's internal departments. Nancy is an active member of Smyrna Baptist Church, where she serves as the Nursery Sunday School Teacher and assistant to the Treasurer.
A native of Pensacola, Florida, Shawn oversees the TEL Staffing & HR Risk Management department. Since coming on board in 2007, Shawn has helped business owners across the nation reduce the number of workplace injuries incurred in their facilities, resulting in a significant reduction in workers' compensation claims. Shawn's professional expertise has saved corporations hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Originally from Mobile, Alabama, Wendy has lived in the Pensacola area since grade school, graduating from Gulf Breeze High School where she went to state competition with her school and won third place in the field of accounting. With a passion for number crunching, Wendy went on to pursue a degree in accounting at Auburn University at Montgomery, finishing her education at Pensacola State College with an Associate Degree in Accounting. Wendy brings sixteen years of corporate accounting experience to the table, and is a registered notary public in the state of Florida.
Darlene Chavers is a thirty-year veteran of finance and operations, with extensive management experience in state and federal regulations compliance. Her processing expertise extends to workers' compensation audits, tax inquiries and payroll processing, and she holds a CPL with the Florida DBPR. She has been with TEL Staffing & HR since its inception, and is an integral part of daily operations. Darlene's Christian values are an essential part of her life. She served on the finance committee for her church and is a strong supporter of Bethany Christian Services, Open Doors, Big Oak Children’s Ranch, and World Vision. Darlene enjoys gardening and spending time outdoors.
Susie was born and raised in Pensacola, Florida. She graduated from Pensacola State College with an Associate Degree, then moved on to the University of West Florida where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication and Business Management. With nine years of combined experience in strategic staffing, recruiting and training, Susie continues to enjoy notable success as the Staffing Coordinator for TEL Staffing & HR. Her mission is to meet goals and expectations and, most importantly, to help employers and job seekers add quality to their lives and careers.
Anthony began his career in the insurance industry over twenty years ago as a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida account representative. After leaving Blue Cross, he became an independent agent, representing a host of major insurance companies. In 2004 Anthony and fellow insurance agent, David Simpson, combined their practices and founded Bay Bridge Insurance and Financial Solutions. In Anthony's own words, “Our principal is very simple: always put the client and their interests first.” Armed with that philosophy, BayBridge Insurance has now become one of the largest Employee Benefit Agencies in the Florida Panhandle. Anthony's expertise has proven invaluable to TEL's clients and partners.
